I am also hesitant to sell via Reverb or Ebay and wish to find a more knowledgeable buyer who seeks a player Casino. The guitar is genuine, cool, and a solid player.įor obvious reasons I have been hesitant to part with this guitar, however, I seldom play it primarily because I am not entirely comfortable with the shape/size. I bought this guitar locally from an individual and I had it checked out by an acquaintance who is a former Gibson Custom Shop employee and who now is a boutique guitar builder residing in my city. The tuners were replaced at some point in history (I hunted down original replacement vintage tuners w/ bushings that I have not installed and would include for the right deal), the pick guard and hardware are missing, whammy bar missing, Serial stamped at back of head stock marked with a "2" (possibly a factory second), and blue Kalamazoo label in the f-hole is torn. The case is non original Epi branded hard shell. Frets appear original and the neck (and back of neck) are in excellent condition. Marks and bumps are present but not predominant.a bit of light buckle rash.marks here/there. The body shows the typical lacquer checking found among predominant vintage Casinos. Neck is slim but not pencil thin like some I've experienced. It is in good condition without cracks/breaks, intact original binding, orig pups, and the pots that I can observe are original. I've owned this Casino for about 1.5 years and it plays, sounds, and feels marvelous.
